Biography
He was offered a spot on the NHL Boston Bruins Hockey Club but chose navy flying instead. He developed the Oggie Doggie Drift Finder and received a Suggestion Award from the Department of National Defence.
 
Military Service
(Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as a Midshipman (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 12/01/1954). He served in HMCS Chippawa 1954. He served in HMCS Cornwalis for Junior Aviation Officers Basic Training Course 1954. He served in HMCS Quebec for Sea Training 1954. He served in HMCS Shearwater 1955. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 25/01/1955). He served in USNAS Pensacola for Pilot Training 1955. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 25/01/1956). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 10/07/1957). He served in HMCS Shearwater for Duty With VT-40 Squadron for Avenger Conversion 1957. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VS-880 Squadron 1957. (Selected for permanent commission). He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure for VS-880 Squadron 1959. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1960). He served in HMCS Shearwater for Naval Air Crew Training School 1960. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VU-32 Squadron 1960. He served in RCAF Trenton for SIT Courses 1961. He served in RCAF Moose Jaw for Flying Instructor Course 1961. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VU-32 Squadron 1961. He served in HMCS Malahat for VC-920 Reserve Squadron 1963. (On November 23, 1963 he was killed in a T-33 jet crash on Mount Strachan near Vancouver BC Canada.)
