He served in HMCS Stadacona for HMCS H.D.P.C. 6 (In command) 1942. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He served with the Royal Navy. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 16/02/1943). (Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN (With seniority dated 16/02/1943). He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN 1948.
