(He was qualified as a Master Mariner (Square-Rigged Foreign Going) #3703). He served in Capilano as Master. He served in Venture as Master. (He was appointed as a British Columbia Marine Pilot.) He retired from the Pacific Pilotage Authority as Senior Pilot 1948.
