He was appointed as a Leading Seaman RNVR in 1943. He served in 31 Service Flying Training at Kingston ON Canada. (CFR) He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) RNVR. He served in RNAS East Haven. He served in RNAS Peewit.
