Biography
He was educated in Southampton, England. He served as a forestry official in Burma, 1910. He moved to Kelowna, British Columbia in 1913 and worked in a garage. Later he worked as an accountant in Vancouver BC. He attended the Wright Flying School in Dayton, Ohio and passed the tests at the Wright Flying School at Augusta, Georgia 05/02/1916;
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS (With seniority dated 27/08/1915). He sailed on the Baltic 09/02/1916. He served in RNAS Calshot for Training. He served in RNAS Killingholme 12/1916 to 1918. He served in RNAS Westgate June to December 1918. (He was demobilized.)
