He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/12/1945). He served with the Royal Navy for training 1945. He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Air Section Dartmouth for 826 Squadron 1946. He served in HMCS Charlottetown as Watchkeeper 1946. (Short Service Appointment commenced 30/04/1947). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN 30/04/1947 (With seniority dated 01/12/1946). He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Air Section Dartmouth for No.1 Training Air Group 1947. He served with the Royal Navy for Service 1948. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Magnificent for 18th Carrier Air Group in 826 Squadron 1948. (On February 16, 1950 he was killed during a free launch takeoff from HMCS Magnificent.) |
