He graduated in 1942 from U of T in Mechanical Engineering.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCNVR 1943. In 1943 he served in HMCS York for UNTD. (CFR) He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (E) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/05/1944). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/05/1945). (He was demobilized.)
