Biography
After his Air Force service he joined Transport Canada as Aircraft Accident Investigator and later as Aviation Safety Officer. Retired 1985.
 
Military Service
He joined the RAFVR (Deferred Service 01/05/1942). He was appointed as a AC 2/c (Pilot Candidate) RAF (With seniority dated 01/05/1943). He served in Flying Training in Southern Rhodesia 1943. He was Awarded wings. He was appointed as a Sergeant Pilot RAF (With seniority dated 01/03/1945). (Transferred to RNVR 01/06/1945). He was appointed as a Petty Officer Pilot RNVR (With seniority dated 01/06/1945). He served in RNAS Rattray for OUT 1945. (He was demobilized 01/04/1946). (Transferred to RAF Auxiliary). He was appointed as a Sergeant Pilot RAF (Auxiliary). He served in #600 (City of London) RAF Squadron. (Transferred to RCAF Auxiliary). (CFR). He was appointed as a Flying Officer RCAF (Auxiliary) (With seniority dated 01/02/1950). He served in #401 RCAF (Auxiliary) (City of HMCS Westmount) Squadron 1948. (Transferred to RCAF 01/02/1952). He served in 421 RCAF Squadron 1952. He served in RCAF Chatham for OUT as Tactics Instructor. He served in RCAF Chatham as Instrument Check Pilot 1954. He served in RCAF Montreal as Auxiliary Pilot Instructor 1957. He served in RCAF Cold Lake for CF-104 Conversion Course 1962. He served in RCAF Baden Soellingen for 422 RCAF Squadron 1963. (He was qualified for duty as a Nuclear Strike Pilot). He served in RCAF Baden Soellingen as Wing Assistant Maintenance Pilot and Officer-in-Charge Operational Flight Simulator 1966, Squadron Leader RCAF 1967. He served in RCAF Montreal as Staff Officer (Auxiliary Wing) 1967. He served in Mobile Command HQ as Senior Staff Officer Flight Safety 1969. (He was retired 1972.)
