Biography
He was attending the Ontario Agricultural College when he was recruited into the navy. Post-War he went back to OAC Guelph, graduating in 1948. He joined INCO in Sudbury almost immediately thereafter and eventually became the company's Agriculturist, responsible for re-greening and reclamation of their mine sites in the Sudbury area.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCNVR 1942. He served in HMCS Star for UNTD (OAC) 1942-1943. (CFR) He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 09/04/1944). He served in HMCS Lachine. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 09/04/1945). (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 09/04/1945). (He was demobilized.) (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate)

Anecdotes
He was President - Royal Canadian Legion Branch 224 - Copper Cliff, ON. His grandson, Tim Peters, is the Chairman of the Canadian Hero Fund; http://herofund.ca/ He started it up in part, to honour his grandfather's WWII RCNVR service.
