Biography
He operated the first commercial strawberry growing operation on Mount Newton Cross Road in Saanich BC. He served as a Member of the Saanich Council as Alderman for Ward 6. In 1951-1954 he was the first Reeve of the Municipality of Central Saanich BC. He was qualified as a test pilot. He held a Commercial Pilot's Licence #9 for the UK having learned to fly at Brooklands UK before World War One. He was one of the founders of the Victoria Flying Club.

Anecdotes
He sold the the farm on Mount Newton Cross road in 1960. In 1958 he organized the Handicapped Equipment Loan Association. In 1968 he received the Good Citizen Award from the Native Sons of British Columbia.
