Biography
He served in merchant navy sailing vessels out of Great Britain to India, and was an officer aboard the steamers in the India trade. He served in vessels England to South Africa. He came to British Columbia in c1903. He served in the RMS Empress of Japan as Third Officer. He then joined the Quadra and was with her under Captain J.F. Walbran and Captain C. Hackett. His next of kin was his wife, Edith Cranstoun Kentfield Pope.
 
Military Service
He served in the RNCVR. (CFR) He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RNCVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RNCVR (With seniority dated 15/12/1917). He served in HMCS Galiano (In command ) 1913-1918. (He was lost in the sinking (during a storm) of HMCS Galiano off Vancouver Island BC October 30, 1918.)
