Biography
He was living in Midland ON Canada at the time of his recruitment into the navy. He held US Flying Certificate No. 493.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. In 1916 he served in RNAS Windermere for flying training. He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. (He was killed in action on 19/06/1917.)

Anecdotes
Shot down on Mine Patrol out of Dunkirk. He was mentioned in Despatches. Finding a missing pilot with 3 enemy aircraft buzzing overhead, he drove them off in his Sopwith Baby fighter seaplane.
