He was the brother of L.C. Pretty.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 02/01/1956). He served in HMCS Donnacona for UNTD 1956-1958. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (MED) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/09/1958). In 1958 he served in HMCS Donnacona on the retired list. (He was released.)
