Military Service

He was appointed as a AC/2 (Pilot Candidate) RCAF 1943. He served in RCAF Brandon Manning Pool 1943. He served in RCAF Saskatoon for ITS 1943. He served in RCAF Virden MB for Elementary Flying Training School. He served in RCAF Gimli for #18 Service Flying Training School 1944. He was Awarded Wings 01/11/1944. (CFR). He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RCAF (With seniority dated 01/11/1944). (Transferred to RNVR 01/04/1945). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 01/04/1945). He served in H.M.S. Macaw for Night Vision Course 1945. He served in RAF Ternhill for AFU 1945. He served in RNAS Peplow for Instrument and Night Flying Course 1945. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 03/05/1945). He served in RN College Greenwich 1945. He served in H.M.S. Ravager for Familiarization 1945. He served with the RN for Service 1945. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 03/05/1946). He served in the RN for Service 1946, (Short Service Appointment Commencing 30/04/1947). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (with seniority dated 03/05/1946).
