Biography
After his naval service he joined UNIVAC Sperry Rand Canada as Proposal Editor 1970. He joined the Department of Environment & Fisheries & Oceans as Principle Secretary in 1971. He served in the Department of Fisheries and Oceans as Deputy Secretary Conference Secretariat in 1975. He joined the Correctional Service of Canada as Auditor of Operations in 1988. He joined CIDA as a Management Systems Analyst in 1988.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an A/Naval Airman Pilot Candidate (Temp.) RNVR 04/09/1943). He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent for #60 Pilot Training Course 1943. He served in RNAS St. Vincent for Pilot Training 1943. He served in RNAS Gosport for Pilot Training 1944. He served in USNAS St. Louis for Pilot Training 1944. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #78 Observer Course. H.M.S. Goshawk (Piarco Trinidad) for Observer Training 1945, A/Petty Officer Observer RNVR 26/08/1945, Awarded Observer Wings 01/02/1945. (He was demobilized 01/09/1945) (Transferred to RCNVR). He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (O) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/09/1945). He served in HMCS Haligonian 1945. He served in RNAS Burscough for Air Squadron Training 1945. He served in HMCS Warrior for 825 Squadron 1945. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (O) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/09/1945), (Transferred to RCN through Short Service Appointment commencing 30/04/1947). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (O) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 25/02/1947). He served in HMCS Niobe for 825 Squadron for Training 1947. He served in NHQ for Special Duty for Flight Training at No.2 Flight Training School RCAF Station Moose Jaw 1956. He served in RCAF Saskatoon for #1 AFS 1956, Awarded Pilot Wings 20/12/1957. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (O) (P) RCN (With seniority dated 20/12/1957). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VX-10 Squadron 1958. He served in HMCS Bonaventure and HMCS Shearwater for VS-880 Squadron 1960. He served in HMCS Iroquois 1962. He served in HMCS Algonquin 1962.
