He graduated with a MD - Dalhousie 1961. He served as Chairman - Board of Directors - Canadian Medical Association (1979) and as Inaugural President - Atlantic Provinces Ophthalmological Society (1975).

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1953. He served in HMCS Scotian for UNTD (Acadia) 1953. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (S) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/07/1956). (He was released.)
