Biography
He won the inaugural Bermuda to Halifax Yacht Race in Wanderer IX, for the RCNSA 1954.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet RN 1936. He served in the Royal Naval College Dartmouth 1936. He was appointed as a Midshipman RN. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RN. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) RN. He served in H.M.S. Furious for 811 RN Squadron 1937. He served in H.M.S. Glorious for 823 RN Squadron 1937. He served in H.M.S. Indomitable for 827 RN Squadron 1941. He served in USNAS 1943-44. He served in H.M.S. Emperor as Lieutenant-Commander (Air) 1944, (Transferred to RCN) 1947. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN. He served in HMCS Warrior as Commander Air 1947. He was appointed as a Commander (P) RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1948). He served in HMCS Magnificent as Commander (Air) 1948. He served in HMCS Naden for RCN Barracks Esquimalt as Executive Officer 1949. He was appointed as an A/Captain RCN 1952. He served in HMCS Athabaskan (II) (In command) (Korean War Service) 1952. He served in HMCS Niagara for Duty With SACLANT as Assistant Chief of Staff (Personnel and Administration) 1955. He served as RCN Director of Joint RCN-RCAF Maritime Warfare School Halifax 1957. (He was retired 1960.)
