He was living in Beamsville ON at the time of his recruitment into the navy.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1959. In 1959 he served in HMCS Star for UNTD. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (RCN(R)) (With seniority dated 01/09/1962). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 10/09/1964). (He was released.)
