He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 23/06/1944). He served in HMCS Stadacona. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for Observer Training Course. H.M.S. Goshawk (Piarco Trinidad) for Observer Training. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (O) (Temp.) RCNVR. (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) (With seniority dated 30/08/1954). (He was released.)
