Military Service

He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. In 1942 he served in HMCS Chippawa. In 1943 he served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 15/03/1943). In 1943 he served in HMCS Skeena. He served in HMCS Avalon. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (O) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 15/03/1944). He served in H.M.S. Excellent for Observer Training Course. He served in H.M.S. Goshawk (Piarco Trinidad) for Observer Training. (He was demobilized 1945.)
