Biography
Before his naval service he studied Engineering at London University. After his naval service he joined the Department of Supply and Services (Management Services Branch) as Organization and Methods Officer 1971, transferred to Corporate Planning Group 1972. He was transferred to Mechanical and Commercial Products Centre 1977. He was appointed as Director Transportation and Energy Branch 1983. He served as Director of Procurement (Air Navigation Systems) 1985. (He was retired 01/09/1987). He served as a Member of the Federal Government Contract Settlement Board 1990-1992.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Radio Electrician's Mate (Special) RN (With seniority dated 30/12/1947). (Obtained BSc). He was appointed as a Instructor Sub-Lieutenant RN (With seniority dated 01/08/1948). He served in H.M.S. Ariel as Instructor in Air Radio and Radar Equipment 1948, Instructor Lieutenant RN (With seniority dated 01/08/1949). He served in H.M.S. Collingwood as Instructor (Shipborne Radar Equipment) 1951. (Short Service Appointment 01/08/1953). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (L) (SSA) RCN (Appointed 01/08/1953) (With seniority dated 03/08/1949). He served in HMCS Stadacona for HMC Electrical School as Staff Officer (Air) 1953. He served in NHQ on Staff of Assistant Chief of Naval Technical Services (Air) as Deputy Naval Aircraft Overseer at DeHavilland Aircraft Company Downsview ON 1957. (Selected for permanent commission). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VS-880 Squadron as Squadron Electrical Officer 1959. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 10/02/1960). He served in HMCS Bonaventure as Deputy Electrical Officer 1961. He served in NHQ as Member of Sea King Production Team 1962. He served in University of Toronto for Diploma in Operational Research 1965. He served in CFHQ in Directorate of Air Combat Systems as Air Electrical Officer for Sea King Flight Simulator 1966. He served in CFHQ in Personnel Branch on Staff of Director of Personnel Career Policy 1968. He served in NDHQ in Directorate of Personnel Requirements and Control 1970. (He was retired 01/09/1971.)
