He was a printer at the time of his recruitment into the navy.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as an Able-Seaman RNCVR. In 1917 he served in HMCS Musquash (Tug patrol vessel). (He was killed in the Halifax Explosion 0n December 06, 1917).
