Military Service

He was appointed as an Officer Cadet 1933-37. He served in the Royal Military College of Canada 1933-37. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (E) (RCNVR) (With seniority dated 05/1941). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/05/1942) (Later backdated to 1941). He served in HMS Eagle (survived sinking 1942). He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant-Commander (E) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dted 01/1945). He served in NSHQ on Staff of Director of Naval Air Division 1944. (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as a Commander (E) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 09/10/1945). (He was demobilized 1945.)
