Biography
His home was in Winnipeg MB. He was involved in umbering and fishing. He was awarded ACA Certificate 367 at the Wright Flying School, Dayton OH USA 7/12/1915.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub‑Lieutenant, RNAS (With seniority dated 28/12/1915) in Ottawa ON. He sailed from New York on the Adriatic, 12/01/1916. He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. He served in RNAS Felixstowe 1917. He left Malta on a patrol but ran short of fuel; and landed on the coast of Tripoli, thinking he was in Italian-occupied territory but instead he was taken prisoner by the Turkish Army 08/07/1917. (He was demobilized.)
