He was a W/T Operator at the time of his recruitment into the navy.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Second Class Wireless Telegraph Operator (RNCVR (With seniority dated 25/02/1918). In 1918 he served in HMCS Niobe as Additional for Duty at Partridge Island Radio Station as Wireless Telegraph Operator. (He was demobilized.)
