Biography
After his naval service he operated the Leafhill Gallery in Victoria BC.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet RCNR (With seniority dated 30/04/1949). He served in HMCS Malahat for UNTD at Royal Roads Service College 1949. (Transferred to RCN 1949). He was appointed as a Midshipman RCN (With seniority dated 12/08/1949). He served in HMCS Niobe for training with Royal Navy 1949. He was appointed as an Acting Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 12/12/1950). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (E) RCN (in 1952 with seniority backdated to 12/12/1950). He was appointed as an Ordnance Lieutenant RCN (1953 with seniority backdated to 12/10/1952). He served in HMCS Niobe for Royal Naval Engineering College Greenwich for Manager Electrical Specialty Course and later Ordinance Engineering Specialist Course 1953. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 12/10/1960). He served in NSHQ Programme Manager Missile Systems as Staff Officer Analysis 1962. He served in NSHQ Assistant Director Weapons Systems Surface and Air as Project Officer Canadian SEA SPARROW System and Project Manager Missiles Guns and Mountings 1963. He was appointed as a Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1965). He served in CFHQ Chief of Technical Services Director-General Engineering (Sea) as Section Head Weapons Systems Sea and Air Section 1965.
