He was a clerk at the time of his recruitment into the navy.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Wireless Telegraph Learner RNCVR (With seniority dated 06/08/1917). In 1918 he served in HMCS Niobe as Addional for Duty and Instruction at Naval Wireless Telegraph School. (He died on active service).
