Biography
After his naval service he joined Air Canada as pilot.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Cadet RNR. In 1952-54 he attended HMS Conway (Merchant Navy training establishment) 1952. (Short Service Appointment 12/09/1954). He was appointed as a Officer Cadet (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 12/09/1954). He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment) 1954. He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Communications Course 1956. He was appointed as a Midshipman (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1956). He served in HMCS Niagara for Pilot Training With USN 1956. He served in USNAS Pensacola for Flying Training 1956. He served in USNAS Kingsville for Advanced Flight Training 1957. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/03/1958). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VS-881 Squadron 1958. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/03/1958). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VS-880 Squadron 1959. He served in HMCS Granby for Long Diving Officer Course 1960. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN. (He was qualified as Clearance Diving Officer). He served in HMCS Granby for Fleet Diving Unit (East) 1960. He served in HMCS Naden for Fleet Diving Unit (West) 1963. He served in HMCS Crescent 1966. (He resigned.) He served in HMCS Star for Naval Reserve Division 1977-80. (He was released.)
