He attended McGill University.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (COTC McGill University). (Transferred to RCNVR) He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) (With seniority dated 12/04/1943). (CFR) He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 29/01/1944). In 1944 he served in HMCS Star. In 1944 he served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment). In 1944 he served in HMCS Niobe. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 11/08/1944). In 1945 he served in HMCS Bayfield. (He was demobilized.)
