Biography
He was a senior partner in the law firm of Lester, Russell and Fraser. He was elected as the Reeve of Forest Hill village in 1929. He was a charter member and past president of the Toronto Flying Club. He was a former President of the American Radio Relay League. He was Commodore of the Stony Lake Yacht Club in the Kawartha Lakes district. He was first Vice-President of the Empire Life Insurance Company and a Director of the Milton Brick Co.

He was a charter member and past president of the Toronto Flying Club. He was a former President of the American Radio Relay League. He was Commodore of the Stony Lake Yacht Club in the Kawartha Lakes district. He was first Vice-President of the Empire Life Insurance Company and a Director of the Milton Brick Co.

Military Service
He was appointed as a Wireless Telegraph Operator (4th Class) RNCVR (With seniority dated 01/03/1916). He joined the Royal Naval Canadian Naval Reserve in May 1915 and transferred to the Royal Air Force in April 1918. (He was demobilized). He joined the RCAF Auxiliary, in Toronto ON, on 26 July 1933. He was appointed as a Flying Officer (With seniority dated 26/07/1933). He was appointed as a Flight Lieutenant (With seniority dated 30/05/1936). He was appointed in command of No. 110 Squadron on 01/10/1938. (He was mobilized by the RCAF). He returned to active service in September 1939 as Commanding Officer of the 110th Toronto Squadron (RCAF). He was posted to No.1 Training Command Headquarters, September 1939, to AFHQ (spring 1940), No. 2 Wireless School, Calgary (August 1940), No. 4 Wireless School, Guelph (July 1941) and AFHQ (May 1943). He was responsible for establishing wireless schools in Guelph and Calgary. He served as the Director of the Royal Canadian Air Force's technical training program in the Second World War. (He was demovbilized 01/1945 and was transferred to the RCAF Reserve.)
