Military Service

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 10/1948). In 1948 he served in HMCS York for UNTD. He was appointed as a A/Ordnance Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1950). He was appointed as an Ordnance Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1951). He was appointed as an Ordnance Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/02/1951). He served in NHQ. He was appointed as an Ordnance Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/02/1959). He was appointed as a Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1963). He served in HMCS Niobe. He was appointed as a Captain (MARE) (With seniority dated 01/01/1975). He served in NDHQ as Director General Ammunition. (He was retired in 1980.)
