He served in Royal Naval Engineering College for Training. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1945). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1945). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) (AE) RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1947). He served in RCN Air Station Dartmouth. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1955). He served in HMCS Nootka as Engineer Officer 1954. (He was retired.
