His home was in Victoria BC where he was an electrician employed by the B.C. Electric Railway. He attended the Wright Flying School at Dayton, Ohio and received ACA Certificate 353 on 27/10/1915; |

He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant, RNAS (With seniority dated 03/11/1915) in Ottawa ON. As of 18 June 1916 at Eastchurch (not under instruction). He served in HMS Ark Royal, 17 September 1916. He served in RNAS Eastchurch, 18 December 1916. He was appointed as an Acting Flight Lieutenant RAF 18/03/1917. He was appointed as a Flight Lieutenant RAF (With seniority dated 01/04/1917). He served in RNAS Eastchurch throughout 1917. He served in #204 TDS 07/11/1918. (Transferred to RAF 1918.) He was appointed as a Captain RAF, (He was demobilized.) |
