Biography
He studied aeronautical engineering for three years prior to joining RN in 1940. After his naval service he joined Spartan Air Services Ltd. at Ottawa in bush flying 1955-57. Then Spartan Air Services and Dominion Helicopters in maintenance of Mid-Canada Line 1957-65. Dominion Helicopters Ltd. in bush flying 1965-67. Canadian Coast Guard 1967-73. Department of Transport (Civil Aviation) in rotorcraft air carrier inspection 1973-84. Retired December 1984.

He was appointed as a Naval Airman (Pilot Candidate) RN 1940. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #22 Pilot Training Course 1941, #24 Elementary Flying Training Course 1941. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) RN, #1 Fighter Training School 1941. He served in RNAS Machrihanish for 772 RN Squadron 1942. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (A) RN. He served in H.M.S.
