Les Scott (Email to Nauticapedia 11/11/2023) stated "this is my great uncle who I know served in the RNCVR during WW1. He was born 1/11/1893 in Birkenhead, Cheshire, England and died in Birkenhead 2/5/1930 aged 46. He served on HMS Niobe and was in Halifax when the Mont Blanc exploded. I think he was a Stoker." |
