Biography
After his naval service he worked in Dartmouth NS with Fairey Aviation as Assistant Production Manager to 05/1954. Afterwards he worked in Ottawa as accountant and office manager with Canadian Tire, and Blair Equipment and Irving Contracting Ltd. He retired in 12/1981. Afterwards he held a similar position with the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club to 1985.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a AC 2/c RCAF 1943. He served in RCAF Toronto for Basic Training 1943. He was appointed as a LAC RCAF (With seniority dated 01/01/1944). He served in RCAF Pendleton for #10 Elementary Flying Training Training School 1944. RCAF Camp Borden for #1 Service Flying Training School. Awarded Pilot's Wings. (CFR). Pilot Officer RCAF 27/10/1944, (Transferred to RNVR 14/05/1945. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) RNVR 14/05/1945. He served in H.M.S. Seaborne 1945. He served in H.M.S. Maccaw 1945. RCAF Tern Hill for #5 AFU. He served in H.M.S. Godwit for RNAIFS. He was demobilized 1945. Afterwards he worked with Lord Elgin hotel in Ottawa as an accountant. (Transferred to RCN Short Service Appointment commencing 01/06/1947). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN 01/06/1947. He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCNAS Dartmouth for Seafire OTU in #1 TAG 1947. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 14/01/1948). He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Magnificent for 826 Squadron 1948. He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Barracks Halifax for RCN Air Section (Dartmouth) 1948. He served in HMCS Shearwater for 826 Squadron 1949. He served in RCAF Centralia for #9 Air Traffic Controller Course 03/1950. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Air Traffic Control Officer 1950. He served in HMCS Carleton 1952, (Reverted to RCN(R) Retired List 31/05/1952).
