Military Service

He was appointed as an Officer Cadet RN. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RN. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RN. He was appointed as a Commander RN. He was appointed as a Captain RN (With seniority dated 31/12/1948). He served in HMS Falcon as Commanding Officer 1951. He was appointed as a Commodore (2nd Class) RN 1955. (In 1955 he was on Loan from the RN to the RCN). He served in NHQ as Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Air) 1955-57. (He was returned to the RN for Service 1957).
