Biography

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Naval Airman (Pilot Candidate) RN. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #51 Pilot Training Course. (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR. He served in USNAS Grosse Isle for Flight Training. He served in USNAS Pensacola for Flight Training. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR 29/02/1944. He served in H.M.S. Formidable for 1842 RN Squadron as Pilot 1944.

Anecdotes
He was killed in flying accident from H.M.S. Formidable 22/03/1945 when his plane spun into sea off Sydney Australia during a training exercise.
