Biography
After his naval service he worked with the Edmonton Flying Club as Apprentice Aircraft Mechanic 1964, After his naval service he flew for Air Canada 1972-93. He was an Air Cadet Instructor and Squadron Commanding Officer 1972-8. He was the author of "The Bonnie" H.M.C.S. Bonaventure: Canada's Last Aircraft Carrier.
 
Military Service
(Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 08/09/1965). He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment) for Training 1965. He served in RCAF Centralia for Flying Training 1966. He served in RCAF Portage for #3 Service Flying Training School 1966. He was Awarded Wings 10/1966. He was appointed as a A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/10/1966). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 08/07/1967). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VS-880 Squadron as Pilot. He served in HMCS Bonaventure as Landing Signals Officer. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VS-880 Squadron as Squadron Weapons Officer. He served in #412 VIP Transport Squadron as Squadron Technical Projects Officer and Air Cadet Liaison Officer 1970. (He resigned in 1972.) (Transferred to Army Reserve). He served in the Highland Fusliers of Canada as a Militia Infantry Officer and Company Commander 1979-84. (He was released.)
