Military Service
He was appointed as a AC 2/c (Pilot Candidate) RCAF (With seniority dated 08/12/1942). He served in RCAF High River for Elementary Flying Training School 1942. He served in RCAF Claresholme for Service Flying Training School 1942. He was Awarded Wings 01/02/1944. He was appointed as a Sergent Pilot RCAF (With seniority dated 01/02/1944). He served in RCAF Winnipeg for Air Observer School as Staff Pilot 1944, Demobilized 28/03/1945, (Transferred to RNVR 1945). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR 1945. He served in RN College Greenwich for courses 1945. He served in H.M.S. Battler 1945. (He was demobilized 01/04/1946). (He was loaned British Ministry of Pensions). (Short Service Appointment commencing 01/06/1947). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1947). He served in HMCS Stadacona for Officers' Divisional course 1947. He served in RCAF Centralia for Instrument Flying Course 1947. He served in HMCS' Stadacona for RCN Air Section Dartmouth for 743 Squadron 1947. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1948). He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Barracks Halifax for RCN Air Section (Dartmouth) for Duty in No.1 Training Air Group as a Pilot in 743 Squadron 1947. He served in H.M.S. Fulmar for OUT 1949. (He died in a flying accident in a mid-air collision 31/05/1949.)
