Biography
In 1953 he graduated with an LLB from Dalhousie University. His interest in economics and Public Policy issues led to him to working for six premiers and six Lieutenant Governors of Nova Scotia, as Administrative Assistant to the Premier, then Clerk of the Executive Council. He was brother-in-law to Captain Raymond Creery, RCN.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 16/02/1950). He served in HMCS Scotian for UNTD 1949-1951. In 1952 he was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/09/1952). In 1953 he was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/09/1952). (He was released 1953.)
