Biography
He emigrated to Canada. After his naval service he worked with the Toronto Star as a foreign correspondent in Far East, India, Africa, East and West Europe, Soviet Union. Author of a number of books of history, biography and fiction for adults and children. He was appointed in 1989 to be attached to the Principal Private Secretary to HM the King of Thailand in Bangkok Thailand.

He was appointed as a Naval Airman 2/c RNVR (With seniority dated 02/06/1942). He served in H.M.S. Daedalus for Training 1942. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #46 Pilot Training Course. He served in RAF Elmdon for #13 Elementary Flying Training School. He served in RCAF Kingston for #31 (SFTS) Service Flying Training School 1943. He was Awarded Wings 1943. (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 31/12/1943). He served in RNAS Twatt for Fleet Requirements Unit 1944. He served in RNAS Hatston for 771 RN Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS Twatt for 771 RN Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS Henstridge for Naval Air Fighter School 1945. He served in RNAS St. Merryn for Air Gunnery Course 1945. He served in RNAS Ayr and H.M.S. Ravager for Deck Landing Training 1945. He served in RNAS Woodvale for 889 RN Squadron 1945. He served in H.M.S. Trouncer for 889 RN Squadron 1945. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (A) RNVR 10/06/1946, 1833 RN Squadron 1946. (He resigned 1946.)
