He attended McGill University.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a AC/2 RCAF. (Transferred to RNVR), He was appointed as an A/Leading Naval Airman RNVR. He served in RCAF Kingston for #31 Service Flying Training School 1941. (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 21/03/1942). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 30/12/1942) (Later backdated to 1941). He served in RNAS Arbroath for 883 RN Squadron 1945. (He was demobilized 17/03/1946.)
