His home was in Peterborough ON at the time of his recruitment.

 

Military Service

He proceeded overseas with 93rd Battalion, CEF, September 1916. He was wounded in France, 3/05/1917. (He resigned his CEF commission and transferred to RNAS 11/08/1917.) He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS. He served in RNAS Crystal Palace, 12/08/1917. He served in RNAS Eastbourne 24/08/1917. He served in RNAS Cranwell, 13/10/1917. He served in RNAS Freiston 28/11/1917. He served in RNAS Manston 15/12/1917. On Canadian leave, December 1917 and January 1918. He served in #2 Wing, 21/03/1918. He served in #222 Squadron, 26/10/1918. He served in England, 25/11/1918. (He was demobilized.)
