Biography
His home was in Toronto ON at the time of his recruitment. He was a graduate of University of Toronto; and an engineer with Bell Telephone.. He attended the Curtiss Flying School in Toronto ON. He was awarded Royal Aero Club Certificate 3827 on 28/10/1916.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS (With seniority dated 28/10/1916) in Ottawa ON. He servedat the Crystal Palace, 1916. He served in RNAS Vendome 11/01/1917. He served in RNAS Cranwell 29/03/1917. He served in RNAS Dover 28/05/1917. He served in #11 (N) Squadron. He served in RNAS Dunkirk, 06/06/1917. He served in RNAS Cranwell, 24/09/1917. He served in RNAS Calshot (under seaplane instruction) 10/11/1917. He served in the 6th Wing 27/12/1917. He served in #224 Squadron 07/03/1918. He served with the Adriatic Group 18/06/1918. He served in #66 Wing 18/12/1918. (He served on Albanian, Montenegrin and Austrian frontiers; one of his awards was for bombing Kuche bridge in Albania, September 1917.)
