He was a labourer at the time of his recruitment into the navy. (He lied In his attestation papers stating that he was born 19/12/1898 when in fact he was born in 1900). After his naval service he worked as a lineman at Nipigon Ontario. In 1926 he was working as a lineman with the Fraser Brace Co, of Pembroke Ontario when he was electrocuted on the job. |
