(Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as a Midshipman (Air) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 18/12/1953). He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Junior Air Officers Basic Training Course 1953. (He was Released.) (Transferred to RCAF). He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RCAF. He served as a Fighter Pilot and Flying Instructor.( He was killed in a low-level training flight in France when his student clipped a tree top and was slow to eject.) |
