Military Service
He was appointed as a Midshipman (A) (SSA) RN (With seniority dated 21/11/1938). He served in H.M.S. Hermes for RN Pilot's Course #3, No.1 Flying Training School Netheravon 1939. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) RN 05/01/1940. He served in H.M.S. Merlin for 774 RN Squadron 1940. He served in H.M.S. Condor for 767 RN Squadron 1940. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) RN (With seniority dated 05/01/1940). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (A) RN (With seniority dated 15/05/1941). He served in H.M.S. Landrail for 766 RN Squadron 1942. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant-Commander (A) RN 1943. He served in H.M.S. Saker for USNAS Lewiston Maine in 738 RN Squadron for F.F.D. and Training 1943. He served in USNAS Fort Lauderdale as Resident British Naval Officer 1944. He served in H.M.S. Shrike for 744 RN Squadron as Commanding Officer 1945, (On Loan from the Royal Navy to the RCN). He served in RNAS Burscough for 825 Squadron as Commanding Officer 1945. He served in HMCS Warrior for 825 RN Squadron 1945. He served in HMCS Shearwater for 825 Squadron as Commanding Officer 1946. (He was killed in a flying accident on 31/01/1947 at Saltspring Island BC Canada.)
