Biography
He was living in Winnipeg MB at the time of his recruitment into the navy. He studied at the University of Manitoba.

 

Military Service

In 1949 he was appointed as an Officer Cadet RCN. He served in Royal Roads Military College (HMCS Malahat) under UNTD Plan 1949-1951. (Transferred to RCN(R)). He was appointed as a Ordnance Cadet (UNTD) (RCN(R)) (With seniority dated 11/09/1950). He served in HMCS Chippawa for UNTD 1949-1951. He was appointed as an Ordnance Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/07/1951). (He was released.)
