In 1929 he became the Manager of the City of Vancouver Airport at Lulu Island. He opened the new airport on Sea Island in 1931. (He was retired in 1949.) |
Military Service |

He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS 1914. He flew seaplanes and flying boats in the North Sea. (He contracted malaria while serving in the Mediteranean. He was invalided back to Vancouver BC.) (He was demobilized.) In 1920 he joined the Canadian Air Force as a Lieutenant. He served as an Aircraft Pilot Navigator based at Jericho Beach BC. (He was released.) |
